Fernando Torres decorated by the President of the Republic
It is with an enormous sense of pride that we congratulate today Fernando Torres, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Torrestir, for the condecoration received from the President of the Republic with the medal equivalent to the third degree of the Order of Merit, going on to bear the title of Commander, for services rendered to the country as an entrepreneur and stimulator of the Portuguese economy.
According to the Portuguese honorific orders law, the Order of Merit is “a Portuguese honorific order that aims to distinguish meritorious acts or services that reveal abnegation in favor of the collectivity, practiced in the exercise of any functions, public or private.”
